HB APA Presents Live Dinner Theater Performance THE 39 STEPS
A Local Benefit Show for the APA Theatre Department
APA will present four showings of THE 39 STEPS on September 12-15, 2024 in its APA Studio Theater (black box) directed by Sharie Nitkin This hilarious farceTHE 39 STEPS will kick off APA’s 2024-2025 show season and will serve as a benefit performance for the APA Theatre Guild, which encompasses APA’s Acting, Costume Design, Dramatic Production, and Technical Theatre departments.
All tickets to THE 39 STEPS include meals provided by local Huntington Beach business Love at First Bite Catering and audience members will get to eat on the historic main stage which is immediately adjacent to the APA Studio Theater (black box) on the campus of Huntington Beach High School. Evening performances Thursday through Saturday will begin with dinner at 6:00 p.m., with a Sunday matinee lunch at 1:00 p.m. THE 39 STEPS will begin one hour after meals are served. THE 39 STEPS is A SAMUEL FRENCH, INC. TITLE adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan and from the movie by Alfred Hitchcock. It is licensed by ITV Global Entertainment Limited and an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon. Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have THE 39 STEPS, a fast-paced whodunit packed with nonstop laughs for anyone who loves the magic of theatre!
