The Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts (HB APA) is proud to announce that Andrea Taylor has been named as HB APA Artistic Director.
A graduate of Fountain Valley High School, Ms. Taylor is entering her twentieth year with the Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD). Andrea possesses a strong background in Arts Education leadership, and holds a Master of Fine Arts from UCLA and an Administrative Services Credential from CSULB. She was named the HBUHSD “Teacher of the Year” in 2020, and has won numerous arts educator awards.
Ms. Taylor has always been dedicated to the advancement and improvement of arts education. Throughout her career, she has worked tirelessly to find opportunities to engage students of all backgrounds in the arts. In addition to her new role as HB APA Artistic Director, Ms. Taylor will continue to serve as HBUHSD Visual and Performing Arts Facilitator and HBHS APA Department Coordinator.
APA will continue to benefit from Ms. Taylor’s effective leadership and collaboration skills, and is excited for the future of the program with her on board as Artistic Director.
