Set in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies tells the inspiring tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of “newsies,” who dreams of a better life far from the hardship of the streets. When titans of publishing Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what’s right!
