MT Chair Tim Nelson Hosts “The Wiz” Starring APA Alumni

APA Musical Theatre instructor Tim Nelson recently sponsored APA alumna (and APA Jr. voice instructor) Katherine Chatman as the star of the Rose Center Theater’s “The Wiz” in concert. Trevin Stephenson, an APA alumnus and current APA Dance Department instructor, was also featured in the concert, which served as a show of support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The Rose Center Theater, of which Mr. Nelson is the Managing Artistic Director, presented this concert in full socially-distanced format. Masked guests enjoyed the concert while sitting outside in cheerful, spaced seating. The concert was also streamed live for the entire APA Musical Theatre Department to enjoy from home.

Mr. Nelson’s Rose Center Theater will hold another production of “The Wiz” in concert on October 7th. Bravo!
